Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTED CLIFF JACKSON Peacefully and surrounded by his family on Monday, July 15, 2002 our dear father, husband and grand-father Ted Jackson passed away. He was predeceased by his first wife Alma; daughter Carol; brother Ed; and by his parents, Charles and Polly. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Ruby; his daughter Barb Arnal (Guy) sons, Charles (Debbie), Brian (Marnie) daughter Nancy Budding (Peter) as well as 11 grandchildren, Kimberly, Andrea, Jeffrey, Bradie, Parker, Alyssa, Travis, Ashley, Zachary, Aaron and Zoe. Ted also leaves behind his older brother Stan; sisters, Iva and Reta; and a sister-in-law Helen Poluyko (Maurice) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ted was born on January 5, 1930 in Winnipeg. He attended Earl Grey School in Fort Rouge. Although he lived directly across the street from the school where he never seemed to arrive on time and he enjoyed repeating this story to his family and friends. Ted was employed as a carpenter his entire life culminating in having his own company Double T Construction in the 70s. He retired and moved to Lac du Bonnet in 1982. There he continued to do woodworking, making cradles, cupboards and cabinets for everyone. Ted spent many hours enjoying his surroundings, his swings, campfires and his dogs, Benji and Mindy. Ted was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Lac du Bonnet. Ted was also a longtime member of the West Kildonan Legion on Main Street in Winnipeg. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 19 at 1:30 p.m. from Russell Funeral Homes, Lac du Bonnet Chapel, with Rev. Cannon J.W. Whitford officiating. Friends may pay their respects at the Chapel one hour prior to services. Services will terminate at the Chapel, with cremation to follow. If friends so desire, memorial donations in Teds memory may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2J1.
