MARGARET VIOLA JONES 1910 - 2002 Suddenly on July 15, 2002, at the Victoria Hospital, Margaret passed away at the age of 92. Left to mourn her are her son Barry (Jane) of Radium, BC, daughter Judy (Ray) Dewar of Winnipeg, son Dennis (Susan) of Guelph, ON, daughter-in-law Georgina of Thornhill, ON, sister Dorothy Lofvendahl of Winnipeg, 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband George; sons, Merlin and Raymond; and grandson Dean. She was also predeceased by her sister Irene Darragh; sister and brother-in-law, May and Fred Innes; brother Alfred; brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Louise Ford, Frank and Violet Ford; and brother-in-law Howard Lofvendahl. Margaret was an active, independent person who will be missed by her many friends at Appleton Estates, the St. Vital Y Seniors, and the Thursday Night Bingo group. In keeping with Moms wishes, cremation has taken place. A ceremony to celebrate her life will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., on Friday, July 19 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8, or to the Manitoba Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7.
