STEPHANIE KALYNIUK July 11, 1924 - July 16, 2002 Peacefully on Tuesday, July 16, 2002, Stephanie Kalyniuk, aged 78 years, passed away at Riverview Health Centre. Stephanie was predeceased by her parents, Roman and Wasylyna; one brother Hnat; and one sister-in-law Lydia Kalyniuk. She is lovingly survived by her sister Olga (Proto Deacon Michael) Woroby, her brother Bill Kalyniuk, sister-in-law Kay Kalyniuk, numerous nieces and nephews - whom she loved dearly, as well as many relatives in the Ukraine. Born in Winnipeg, Stephanie attended Margaret Scott School and Isaac Newton High School. Later, she attended Success Business College and worked for the Unemployment Insurance Commission until her retirement. Throughout her working years she loved to travel. She was a lifetime member of Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Parish, and was also a member of the former Ukrainian Catholic Womens League Business Professional Club. She will be fondly remembered for her genuine kindness and generosity to her family, friends and church, especially her gifts to family in the Ukraine which they deeply appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre for the care they provided to Stephanie. Prayers will be said on Thursday, July 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday, July 19 at 9:00 a.m. at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, with Rt. Rev. Mitrat G. Oucharyk officiating.
