DAVID VICTOR MOORLEY Peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2002, David Victor Moorley passed away at the Grace General Hospital. David was predeceased by his wife Lorraine, parents Louisa and Ernest, brother-in-law Kenneth and nephew David Wayne. Davids memory will be cherished by his sister Louise Thompson of Dauphin; nieces, Beverley Smith (Wayne) and son Kevin, Linda Daley and daughters, Megan (Roger) Thomas, Jenae of Brandon, Erin (Chad) Vinkle, Abby of Sudbury, Deanna Mohr (Harvey) and children, Kyle and Dana; nephews, Guy Freedman (Diana) and children, Maxim and Alexandria of Ottawa, Mark Freedman (Cathy), special "daughter" Penny Ward (Godfrey) and special "granddaughter" Samantha; in-laws, Peggy Hamelin of Prince Albert, Morris Freedman (Clarise) and family of Seattle and many friends and neighbours from St. Vital, the Post Office, Zellers, and Grant Avenue. David grew up in St. Vital, attending Glenwood and Norberry Schools. He served overseas as a rear-gunner with the R.C.A.F. stationed in England. He worked for many years with the Post Office in an executive capacity and after retirement enjoyed part-time work with Zellers on Grant Avenue. He was an avid sports fan, often following more than one event on TV at the same time. He enjoyed discussions about sports with Wayne and Godfrey. Family and friends were very important to David, and everyone who knew him recognized his giving nature and true friendship. He will be lovingly missed by many people. A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, July 23 at 11:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St., with Reverend Gordon Shields officiating. Interment to follow at a later date in Waverley Memorial Gardens.
