Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELYN A. DYCK (nee TARKO) Peacefully in her sleep on July 19, 2002 at the age of 64 years, Evelyn passed away after a long illness. She was predeceased by her parents and two sisters, Frances and Helen. Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband of 44 years Jake; daughter Joyce; sons, Raymond (Teresa), and Gerald (special friend Lisa) and by her two precious grandsons, Trevor and Mason. Also left to cherish her memory are her sister Bernice (Bob) two brothers-in-law, Ed Braymore and Michael Hayes; sisters-in-law; Betty, Nettie Pfeiffer, Helen Fisette, Mary Reimer (George), Anne Toews (John) and brothers-in-law, Peter (Margaret), John (Ruby), Abe (Marge) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. After her children were grown Evelyn went to work for the Grace General Hospital as a baker until her Alzheimers forced her to take early retirement nine years ago. Gardening was one of her passions as well as just being with her kids. Prior to her illness, Mom and Dad took several trips down south, which she thoroughly enjoyed. "Mom and Grandma...We love you very much...Youre finally at peace" A private family viewing will be held at 11:30 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow at the Army and Navy, 3584 Portage Ave. Special thanks to the staff at Heritage Lodge for the care and compassion shown over the last three and a half years. In lieu of flowers, donation in Evelyns memory may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Winnipeg, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
