DENISE LYDIA LAJOIE April 23, 1927 - June 28, 2002 Denise Lajoie (Avanthay) was born in Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB, and also received her education there. In 1944 she moved and worked in Winnipeg, MB where she met and married Jean-Paul Lajoie on March 4, 1948. Denise and Paul had seven children: six boys and one daughter Diane Repetowski who predeceased our mother on January 29, 1997. Also predeceased by two sisters, Therese Droux and Martha Perreault; two brothers, Raymond and Roger Avanthay; and her parents, Paul and Marie. Denise is survived by her husband Paul, the ever elusive and persistent hunter with whom she spent every fall till early winter at the cabin ever since they moved to Drayton Valley, AB. She is survived by her sons, Jean-Alain Lajoie of Dauphin, MB, Gerald Lajoie of Edmonton, AB, Serge (Glenda) Lajoie of Thompson, MB, Hubert Lajoie of Winnipeg, Richard Lajoie of Hornings Mills, ON, and Lionel (Sandy) Lajoie of Edmonton; along with eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her for her kindness, love, and for her help whenever she could give it. In lieu of floral tributes, donations may be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Love always until we meet again.
