MARION AGNES MAY SCOTT Peacefully, on Thursday July 18, 2002, Marion Scott, aged 82, passed away at home. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Barbara (Gary) Flewin; son Ronald (Sandra) grandchildren Ryan, Kelly and Shanna; sisters, Laura Gara, Joyce (Lavern) Opperman; brother Kenneth (Kathleen) Smith; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph in 1990; her parents Max and Agnes Smith; twin brother Mervin, and younger brother Glen. Marion was born August 31, 1919 in Terrence, MB. The family moved to Brandon when she was 18, where she worked at various jobs. Marrying Ralph Scott in 1940, they resided in Brandon for more than 25 years before being transferred to Winnipeg. Ralph took early retirement while Marion continued working, retiring from the provincial government in 1984. Brandon became home again for a short time before returning to Winnipeg. Mom had a way of touching everyones heart with love and kindness, warmth and caring. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. The service will conclude at the chapel. Marion will be laid to rest beside her husband Ralph at Garry Memorial Park in a private ceremony. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of their choice.
