JOHN (JACK) WILSON SCRYMGEOUR It is with a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of Jack Scrymgeour on Friday, July 19, 2002, who suddenly, after a short illness, joined all those special friends and family for "The Big Meeting In The Sky". Jack was born February 1, 1924 in Winnipeg, MB, the third son "the baby" of Harold and Hilda Scrymgeour. Predeceased by his parents, brother Charles, sister-in-law Ina Scrymgeour and special friend Gillis Owens, Jack leaves to mourn his passing his two brothers, Ralph Douglas Scrymgeour and Robert Normand Scrymgeour; sister-in-law Valdine Scrymgeour; nieces, Valdine and Marion and nephews, Lyle and Stephen; and cousin Irene Adams; special friends, Diane Owens, David Breen and Denise Oakes. Jack always held a great admiration and a deep respect for his three brothers and was a dedicated friend of Bill W., and will be deeply missed by all those whose hearts he touched and befriended during his time in this fellowship. The loss of his sense of humour and his jokes will be missed and will leave a big gap in many club rooms. Prayers will be held on Monday, July 22 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with funeral service to be held on Tuesday, July 23 at 1:00 p.m. also at the Chapel. Interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenny Fraser, Lyle Dew, Terry Bale, Gary Frost, David Breen and Alan Payne. Jack wished to thank the special people in his life, and all the family and friends who visited him at the hospital during his short illness. Flowers gratefully declined. Jack requests that donations be made to the War Amps Society, 113 Marianne Rd., Winnipeg, MB, R2P 1B1. God grant the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference. RARELY CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
