JOHN ALEXANDER TEMPLETON It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John Alexander Templeton at Victoria General Hospital on July 17, 2002. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, in August of 1920, John was predeceased by his parents, brother Matthew, his sister Betty, his son Carl, and granddaughter Deanna. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted and loving wife Evyonne of 55 years; son Larry and wife Darlene; daughter Christina and husband Friedel of Germany; son John and wife Lori; daughter Shirley and husband Ron; and son Robert; his grandsons, Lawrence and wife Michelle, Paul, Joel, Conrad of Germany and Billy; and his great-grandsons, Tyler and Michael. He also leaves to mourn his brother Alex and wife Hazel; his longtime friends, Bill and Helen Sibbald; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. John was an employee of Air Canada for over 33 years as a Lead Station Attendant, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Executive Committee of IAM Lodge 714 as a Conductor Sentinel, a position he held for 10 years. As an avid outdoorsman, lover of wildlife and conservationist, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their cottage. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jamie Gillespie for her courageous effort and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dads memory may be made to the World Wildlife Federation, 245 Eglinton Ave. E., Suite 410, Toronto, ON M4P 3J1 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 22 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more...crying, neither shall there be any more pain."
