OLGA CAREY It is with great sorrow that we mourn the passing of Olga Carey on Thursday, July 18, 2002, at the Grace General Hospital after a courageous struggle with cancer. Olga is lovingly remembered by her mother Pauline Carey; her sister Evelyn Hind (Terry) and her nephew Richard Topolnicki. She was predeceased by her father and brother. Born in Winnipeg in 1932, Olga went to Aberdeen Elementary School and St. Johns High School. She travelled extensively, often alone, to many countries over a period of time. She was employed by the Winnipeg Enterprises Corporation and after 30 years, retired on a disability pension. Olga loved sports, especially curling and baseball, and was an avid follower of pro golf on T.V. In compliance with Olgas wishes, a private family gathering was held. Our family wishes to extend special thanks to nurses and staff on 3 West at the Grace Hospital. If friends so desire, donations in Olgas memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9, or to a charity of ones choice.
