DOROTHY JOYCE KOLTUN (JOYCE) (nee SLOCOMBE) It is with great sorrow and regret we announce the passing of our dear daughter, mother, sister and grandmother Joyce on July 19, 2002 in a tragic accident. Joyce is survived by her dear mother Emma Rose Kolbeck; her brother William (Lynn) her sons, Mark (Debbie), David (Laura) her grandchildren, Ryan, Lisa and Rosemary; and her special friend and cousin Joan Elliott. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Mary Koltun; her sisters-in-law, Darlene (Ralph) and Joanne; her brothers-in-law, Joseph (Lillian), Gordon (Alice), Mike (Doris) as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by her father Reginald Slocombe in 1961, her husband Ted Koltun in 1981, and her father-in-law Harry Koltun. Joyce was born on January 9, 1934, in Winnipeg. She was a consummate volunteer, giving many years when her sons were young and longer to the Orioles Community Club as secretary treasurer and canteen worker. She was also a long standing member of the NDP Party and the RCAF Association. She was also a wonderful church volunteer for the Salvation Army and Gospel Mennonite Church. Joyce loved to read and loved to crochet and knit. Joyce loved her family and she will always be remembered for her kind and generous heart. She will be greatly missed. A private interment will be held followed by a memorial service to be held on Tuesday, July 23, at 1:00 p.m. at the Gospel Mennonite Church, 232 Nassau St. N. (Corydon and Nassau). Reception to follow in the church hall. Flowers are gratefully declined. • My mother was Ivy Marion Slocombe, Reginald's sister. I am truly sorry for your loss even though it is belated. I am in Calgary, AB. Please email me at lynnbranchflower643@gmail.com. I have only met uncle Reginald once, and that was when we were still on the farm. - Posted by: Lynn Branchflower (Cousin) on: Jun 28, 2020
