ELEANOR DOROTHY HUSLUK (nee MACKAY) Peacefully on July 21, 2002, at the age of 75 years, Eleanor passed away at the Teulon Hospital with all her family by her side. She born in Winnipeg, June 4, 1927. One of eight children born to Alex and Daisey Mackay. She spent her early life in Winnipeg, then her parents moved out to a nice peaceful country life on the outside of Teulon. Eleanor met and married Louis Husluk, on November 15, 1947 and moved to a country farm in Melice, MB where she raised six children. She leaves to mourn her children, Lawrence Husluk of Brandon; Linda Kowch (grandchild Ryan) of Airdrie, AB; Douglas Husluk, (grandchildren, Guy and Brent) of Brandon; Beverly (Gary) Esau (Saul and Grant) of Toronto; Randy (Lucille) Husluk, (grandchildren, Colby, Angela, Sara) of Petersfield; Geraldine Dettman (Fred) (grandchildren, Michelle, Vanessa and Trevor) of Stony Mountain; also her mother Daisey of Petersfield. Her four sisters, Joyce Kisiloski (Tom) of Winnipeg; Florence Skwarek of Petersfield; Margaret Palmer of Winnipeg; Audrey Hiebert (Maurice) of Clandeboye; her brother John (Donna) of Petersfield; also numerous nieces, nephews, and a large group of extended family and friends. Mother was predeceased by father Alex Mackay, May 1990; brother Melvin Mackay, April 1969; sister Irene Chambers in February 1993; brother-in-law Frank Skwarek; and her dearest Louis Alfred Huslak, January 24, 1993. Mother loved her children and family dearly. She would do anything for anybody. She was kind, generous, and loving to everybody. She loved life to the fullest, especially her flower garden and she loved her dogs, cats, and rabbits. Mom loved nature. Always feeding the birds and whatever roamed in her yard. Mom was our life, our world. We love you Mom and miss you deeply. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, July 23 at 7:30 p.m., at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Teulon. Pastor Barry Rasmussen will officiate. Interment to follow in St. William Cemetery. Active pallbearers Jamie Chambers, Brock Ryley, Donald Kisilowski, Larry Kisilowski, Roger Palmer, Brian Hiebert. Honorary pallbearers, Brent Husluk, Grant Esau, Colby Husluk, Ryan Kowch, Trevor Dettman. MacKenzie Funeral Home in Teulon in care of arrangements.
