IAN BRUCE MACDONALD It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and uncle, Ian Bruce Macdonald. Ian was predeceased by his father, mother, sister, Betty, and brother Bob. Ian leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Linda; nephews, Frank (Pat), Rick (Trudy) as well as many great nephews, nieces, and friends. Ian had a long and varied career in the paper packaging industry starting back in the mid-50s. As a sales representative with Belkin Packaging of Vancouver his strengths were his diversification and adaptability. The company utilized his talents often as they transferred him to different market areas to either establish the companys presence, or to improve its market share. Over the years, several ownership changes and acquisitions took place in the industry. Ian was always absorbed into the new companies as a valued employee, known for his superior salesmanship. He advanced steadily within the company, progressing from sales representative to sales manager, to his last position as general manager of the Crown Packaging Winnipeg operation. We would like to thank Drs. Arthur Blank, A. Jeyakumar, and Duncan Scurrah for all their care and compassion. A celebration of Ians life will be held on Thursday, July 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with Rev. Gordon Shields officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined; donations may be made to a charity of your choice. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
