VERA GERTRUDE TAYLOR (nee HAWES) June 7, 1921 - July 21, 2002 Peacefully passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital on Sunday, July 21, 2002. Predeceased by her father and mother, Melvin and Ella May Hawes; sister Irene Angus; and brother Clifford (Corky) Hawes. She will be sadly missed by her four children, Carol and John Waddell, Robert and Trudy Taylor, Bonnie and Ralph Peterson, and Bryan Taylor; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. Vera was born in Virden and raised in Two Creeks, MB, married and moved to Winnipeg. Vera devoted her life to raising her four children and worked for many years as a nurses aide at Central Park Lodge. The family would like thank the staff of Maples Personal Care Home for the care she received in her latter years, also the doctors and staff of Seven Oaks Hospital, especially Lee. Pallbearers will be Dennis Ruggles, Joseph Sobczak, Robert Huppe, Kelly Waddell, Fraser Angus and Donny Angus. Honorary pallbearer is Arden Smoke. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 25, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
