EDWARD W. DAYE Unexpectedly, but peacefully, on Saturday, July 20, 2002, Edward Daye passed away at the age of 74 years. Ed will be lovingly remembered by wife Eleanor; children, Terry (Louise), granddaughter Julia; Corinne, grandchildren, Ryan and Halee; Lawrence and grandson James; as well as sisters and brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews. Ed was predeceased by his parents, five sisters and three brothers and was the last of his generation. Ed attended King Edward School and Isaac Newton High School. Ed was employed by ADT for 44 years, retiring at the age of 62. Ed and Eleanor were married for 52 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing with his friends, and travelling with his family and grandchildren. He was a very devoted brother, husband, father, grand-father, uncle, and most of all a friend, and was well loved by all. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 27 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., with Pastor Ed Grant officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. The family wishes to thank Dr. Frank Martin, April and Ann, Dr. Schmidt, and the Winnipeg Paramedic and Ambulance team for their care. Flowers are gratefully declined.
