Born: Apr 01, 1941
Date of Passing: Jul 22, 2002
Offer Condolences or MemoryGAIL (PATRICIA) RUNDLE (nee BAILEY) April 1, 1941 - July 22, 2002 It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Gail in Westville, NS, while with her husband Jesse, visiting his family. Gail leaves to mourn her passing Jesse; son Kevin (Marcy Braydon, Jordan) Winnipeg; daughter Kim (Bill) Bellingham and grandson Joshua, who brought her so much joy. Sisters and brothers, Mae McCarthy, Ottawa; Donna (George) Wiebe, Winnipeg; Lynn (Donald) Schweigert, Norquay, SK; Wallace (Dianna) Bailey, Winnipeg; Bonnie Jenkins, Perth, Australia; and Allen (Gail) Bailey, Winnipeg. She was predeceased by parents, Ada and Victor; and brothers-in-law, Lee Jenkins and Max McCarthy. She will be fondly remembered by nieces and nephews, Sherry and Joel, Dwayne and Jay, Scott, Nathan and Chandel; and great-niece and nephew, Elaine and Kyle. She leaves many relatives in Nova Scotia and friends far and wide. Born in Canora, SK, she was raised on the family farm at Stenen. After high school she came to Winnipeg and received her x-ray technicians status and worked for many years at the Deer Lodge Hospital. She was a stay at home mom while raising her children. She enjoyed crafts and community work. Her leadership in the Girl Guide movement in Nova Scotia and Winnipeg enabled her to be influential in touching and helping mold the lives of many young women. She held the positions of District Commissioner, Area Leadership Advisor as well as Unit Leader. Her artistic talents were unlimited, ceramics, paper tole, millenary, flower arranging, furniture refinishing and gardening, she made beauty out of everything she did. Her talents as a seamstress will be missed by many, her homemaking outshined all! Family gatherings will never be the same without her planning and cooking (for weeks). Just recently she took great joy in planning the meals and feeding many with the girl guides. She excelled! Gail was a loving, caring wife, mother, sister and friend. Each person that knew her will have their own special memories, keep them close and remember her often. We will all miss her. Life will be so changed for us left behind. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. A service to celebrate her life will be held Friday, July 26, at 2:00 p.m. at Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Blvd., Winnipeg. Cremation has taken place; there will be a private interment. God grant me the serenity To accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, And wisdom to know the difference.
