WANDA SACHVIE (nee HASTMAN) Peacefully, on Monday, July 22, 2002, Wanda passed away at East Gate Lodge, Beausejour, MB. Wanda was born on January 13, 1920. Wanda will be deeply missed by her loving husband Henry of 59 years; and her three sons, Gerald and his wife Pat and their children, Jamie, Kim (Kirk) Mervin and his wife Holly and their children, Jolene and Derek, and Glen and his wife Corinne and their children, Dana and Brad. Also surviving are her son-in-law Ron Flatt and grandson Kevin Flatt. Wanda is also survived by siblings, Lydia Buss, Edith Peitsch, Elsie Buss, Charles Hastman, Edward Hastman, Ruth Kroll, Leo Hastman and Edna Rosin. Mom was predeceased by her only loving daughter Vera Wanda Flatt on December 21, 2001, her father in 1962, her mother in 1975, her brother Arnold in 1958 and her brother Alex in September 2000. Mom was a very loving and giving person. She enjoyed life on the farm, with her husband Henry, and raising their four children in Golden Bay, MB, where they lived for 48 years. She was a treasured mother to her children and a treasured grandmother to her seven grandchildren. She loved gardening, the outdoors and being by her husbands side at all times on the farm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue East, Beausejour, with Pastor Harold Borchardt officiating. Friends may view prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Green Bay Cemetery. We would like to thank the staff at East Gate Lodge for the wonderful care provided to Mom during her stay there.
