DONT WAIT When I quit this mortal shore, And mosey around the earth no more, Dont weep, dont sigh, dont sob; I may have struck a better job. Dont go and buy a large bouquet For which youll find it hard to pay: Dont mope around and feel all blue; I may be better off than you. Dont tell the folks I was a saint Or any old thing that I aint; If you have jam like that to spread, Please hand it out before Im dead. If you have roses, bless my soul, Just pin one in my button hole while Im still alive and well today. Dont wait until Ive gone away.
