Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM FERGUSON BRAUTIGAN William Ferguson Brautigan of Courtenay, BC (formerly of Minaki, ON) passed away on July 22, 2002at the age of 86. Bill was predeceased by his father Ludwig and mother Annie. He is survived by his wife Margaret; his sons, Douglas and Bruce; grandchildren, Cynthia, Darren, Tammy, Daniel, Michael and Emma; great-grandchildren, Carly, Stacy, Connor; and his sisters, Betty and Marion. Bill was born in Helston, MB, and worked on the family farm until he joined the service in 1944. Upon his discharge, he took a job at Canada Post where he worked for 31 years until his retirement. He retired to Minaki, ON where he lived happily until moving to The Comox Valley in 1997. He was a member of the Masons and the Canadian Legion. Bill was passionate about the outdoors and he pursued his love of hunting, fishing and gardening throughout his life. A private family service will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Comox Valley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1101 Ryan Rd., Courtenay, BC. For those wishing, memorial donations may be made to the St. Josephs Hospital Foundation, 2137 Comox Ave., Comox, BC V9M 1P2.
