PETER BOSCHKO It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Peter Boschko on Thursday, July 25, 2002 at St. Boniface Hospital. Peter will make his final journey to join his predeceased wife Helena . Peter was born onMay 9, 1924 in Poltava, Ukraine. He immigrated to Canada with his family and friends in January 1960. Peter will be fondly remembered by his son Rev. George Podtepa and wife Olga; four grandchildren, Linda Brown and husband Norman, Tatiana Hamelynck and husband Rob, George Jr. Podtepa and wife Barb, and Michelle Podtepa and fiance Ted. Peter will also be sorely missed by numerous great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of the I.C.U. at St. Boniface for all their care and compassion. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 29 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 30 at Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Mary the Protectress (Sobor), 820 Burrows Ave., with Rev. J.S. Buciora officiating. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3B 2H8.
