HELEN WANDA (KORVAS) BROWN Helen Wanda (Korvas) Brown, 428 Fifth St. South, Kenora, ON, passed away on July 25, 2002 at Lake of the Woods District Hospital. Helen was born on March 10, 1924 in Poland and came to Canada with her family in 1936, settling in Kenora. She leaves to mourn her loving husband, Syd; her three daughters, Linda (Patrick) Hunter, Richmond, BC, Marge (Kjell) Pedersen and Terri (Bruce) Francis, Kenora, ON; ten grandchildren, Aldege (Laurie) Couture, Michelle (Darrell) Mosionier, Candi (Ole) Hensrud, Brooks (Jennifer) Francis, Tim Francis and Stacey Francis, all of Kenora, ON, Dorothy (Peter) Woodman, Kelowna, BC, Tony (Tracey) Couture, Grande Prairie, AB, Tanis (Loren) Giesbrecht, Landmark, MB and Jon (Nicole) Pedersen, Winnipeg, MB, as well as ten great-grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her parents Martin and Anna Hildebrandt, her first husband Anthony Korvas, her son Henry, her daughter Anne Couture, her brother John and her sister Emily Valenta. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church with interment following at Lake of the Woods Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brooks Francis, Tim Francis, Jon Pedersen, Loren Giesbrecht, Ole Hensrud and Aldege Couture. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to The Lake of the Woods District Hospital Palliative Care. Brown Funeral Home & Crematorium Centre entrusted with arrangements.
