EUNICE CROWTHER (nee HOWARD) On Thursday, July 25, 2002 Mom passed away peacefully at Grace General Hospital. Eunice was born in Mather, MB on May 23, 1913. She was raised in the area and married Clifford on March 10, 1934. They farmed in the Mather area until the spring of 1953 when they moved to Winnipeg (St. Charles). She remained in the family home until November 2001, then moved to the Victoria Arms Apartments. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Eleanor Bears and children, Jessie, Dale (Heather), Heather (Kevin) and Brian (Linda) her daughter Ramona Crowther (Jack Kuhl) her son-in-law Frank Janzen; her great-grandchildren, Justin, Devon, Jamie, Jordan, Michael and Eileen; and her sister Frances Bridges (Allan). She was predeceased by her husband Clifford, her daughter Sharron Crowther-Janzen, her son-in-law Sam Bears; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken and Nellie Howard and Earl and Joan Howard; her nephew Darwin Howard. Mom enjoyed life and remained as active as her legs allowed. She enjoyed the Senior Social Club in the Victoria Arms and her Wednesday afternoon cards at the St. Charles Catholic Church. Every new born child received one of Moms handknit baby blankets whether they be a great-grandchild, great-great-niece/nephew or child of a friend of the family. Christmas eve at the family home for neighbours and family was a tradition that went on until she moved. The family would like to thank the Staff in Emergency and on the fourth floor and Chaplain Loveless at the Grace Hospital for the extraordinary care they gave Mom and the support they gave to us. Funeral service will be held at St. Andrews United Church in Mather, MB on Tuesday, July 30 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations may be made to Grace General Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7 or the Mather United Church or the St. Charles United Church.
