JULIE YORK Suddenly on Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at the Grace Hospital, Julie York, aged 72 years, beloved wife and wonderful friend of Bruce York for almost 49 years, passed away. Besides her loving husband Bruce, she leaves to cherish her memory, her brother-in-law Maurice Rudick; nieces, Cathy of Ottawa, Lisa of Winnipeg, Wendy of Arizona, nephew Robert of Winnipeg, cousin John Marowitch of Winnipeg and other dear relatives and many close friends. She was predeceased by her sister Shirley Rudick in 1989. Notwithstanding having fought Myasthenia Gravis, Cancer and latterly Lupus from shortly after her marriage to Bruce in 1953 until the present, Julie never lost her love of life and for all people with whom she came in contact. Her friendliness was one of her greatest attributes. She was always grateful to the Health Sciences Centre (Drs. E.G. Brownell, K. VanAmeyde and nurse Linda Mollard), the H.S.C. Respiratory Hospital (Dr. C. Hitchon), and the wonderful staff at the Deer Lodge Day Hospital and the Charleswood Day Club. Many thanks are also extended to all the kind caregivers who assisted her to strive towards a normal life. Also to Andrew and Wilma Fulton, very special friends for many decades, who are being so very supportive at this time of profound sorrow. Cremation has taken place with interment at a later date. A celebration of Julies life will take place Thursday, August 1 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave., with friend Canon Gregg Armstrong officiating and with John Fulton piping his last tribute to "Aunt" Julie. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. LEATHERDALE GARDINER 1858 Portage Avenue 949-4872
