Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM JOHN (JACK) WOOD Peacefully at Deer Lodge Centre on July 26, 2002, William John Wood, aged 79 years. Jack was born in Winnipeg on May 12, 1923 where he resided during his life. Jack served overseas with the Royal Canadian Artillery during the Second World War in the U. K. and Continental Europe for 1943 to 1946. Upon his return he was employed with The Holden Company Ltd. until 1968. He moved onto Keller Equipment where he was employed as Branch Manager until his retirement in 1987. He enjoyed his hobbies of stamp collecting, gardening and travelling. Jack was predeceased by his sister Mary (Kirkby) in 1985. He is survived by his wife Margaret; his five daughters and seven grandchildren: Mardi and her husband Al Desjardins and their son Cael; Teri and her husband Warwick Dovey and their daughter Waverley; Jan and her husband Aaron Laird and their children Kristyn, Jordan and Chelsea of Brampton, ON; Kenda Wood; Alana and her husband Murray Kulshiski and their children Everett and Elicia. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff of T7 in Deer Lodge Centre for the care they gave to our husband and father. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 31 at 2:00 p.m. at Deer Lodge Centre, 2109 Portage Ave. A reception will follow. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 the Parkinson Society of Manitoba or to a charity of their choice.
