EILEEN RUTH KENT (nee MOLLARD) 1923 - 2002 Peacefully on Friday, July 26, 2002, with her family at her side, "Mum" left our world to join Dad at the first tee of Heavenly Golf and Country Club. Eileen was pre-deceased by her husband of 48 years, John Lloyd Kent in 1994. She is survived by two sons, Gary (Lynn) and Bryon (Terry) five grandchildren, Allison White (Rick), Steven (Elanei), Jill, Craig, and Jeffrey; plus two great-grandchildren, Cody and Jessica. Eileen was born in Balmoral, MB on March 26, 1923, one of five children. Brothers, Ivan and Grant Mollard; and sisters, Shirley Gilchrist and Marcella McClelland; along with numerous nephews and nieces survive her. Eileen was a homemaker for most of her life. She was educated and worked as a bookkeeper in her younger years. She was a sports enthusiast, and loved to play golf. She also spent many enjoyable hours watching her family participate in sports activities. Eileen had a wonderful sense of humour, loved to play cards, belonging to several bridge clubs, and had a busy social life with many close friends. The family wishes to thank the compassionate staff of 3 West at Riverview Health Centre, and all the wonderful home care personnel who were a part of her daily life. A very special thanks to Dr. R. Hayward for his years of supportive care. Funeral services will be held at Thomson Funeral Home, Wednesday, July 31, at 1:00 p.m. at 669 Broadway, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation care of Winnipeg Chapter, Box 21008, 33-3900 Grant Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3R 3R2.
