MARGARET DOREEN FRASER (nee WOODS) Following a brief illness, Doreen Fraser, aged 71, passed away July 26, 2002 at the Hamiota District Health Centre, Hamiota, MB. Doreen was born daughter to W.H. (Bill) and Vera Woods on August 23, 1930 in Hamiota. Doreen grew up in Hamiota, attended teachers college and taught school in Lavinia. She married Ross Fraser in Hamiota on October 29, 1949. Doreen was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Vera Woods; and her husband Ross. She was an active member of numerous community organizations and activities. She was a member of the UCW and the Ladies Legion Auxiliary. She will always be loved and missed by her daughters, Maxine (Dennis) and Pat Fraser; her six grandchildren, Michelle, Jennifer, Shelley, Jody, Michael, Kyle; her five great-grandchildren; brothers, Nelson (Eula) Woods, Glen (Gwen) Woods; sisters-in-law, Kae (Bob) Gawne, Margaret (Tom) Stewart and Isobel Harrison; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 30 at the Hamiota United Church, Hamiota, at 11:00 a.m. Interment following in the Hamiota Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doreens memory to Hamiota Golf Club, Hamiota District Sports Complex or a charity of ones choice. Campbell Funeral Home, Hamiota in care of arrangements.
