GEORGE RUSSELL BISHOP (BISH) 1920 - 2002 Passed away peacefully at the Boyne Lodge in Carman, MB, on the 26th of July, 2002. Bish was born in Nanton, AB. He joined the Air Force in 1940 and during training in Macdonald, MB, he met and married his wife Mildred (Millie). After the war Bish and Millie settled briefly in Roland, MB, and then moved to Carman. Over the years Bish was active in many community activities and was a life member of the Kinsmen and Royal Canadian Legion. Bish will be lovingly remembered by his wife Millie; sons, George (Ellen) and Dave; granddaughter Kelly; grandsons, Colton and Dallas; and great-grandson Alexander. Bish is also survived by his brother Alton (Allie) and sister Mary, as well as numerous friends, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held from the Carman United Church in Carman on Wednesday July 31 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Kenyon officiating. Interment will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Boyne Lodge, Box 1644, Carman, MB, R0G 0J0 or to the Parkinson Society Canada-Manitoba Region, 204-825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1M5. The family would like to thank the staff of the Boyne Lodge for the care and compassion they showed Bish over the last two years. Doyle Funeral Chapel of Carman in care of arrangements.
