Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERT CHARLES LE PAGE February 25, 1945 - July 25, 2002 It is with deep sadness we announce Als unexpected passing at Health Sciences Centre after a short illness. Al will be lovingly remembered by his wife Carol; sons, Jeffrey (Marnie), Glen; new granddaughter Brooke; sister Gail (Ed) mother-in-law Jean Milne; sister-in-law Bev (Rick) brother-in-law Rod; and nephews and nieces. Predeceased by his parents and beloved daughter Heather. Al was born in Regina. Early in life, he was employed by Robertson-Irwin and later became an electrician with Keewatin Electric. In 1974 he moved to Gillam, MB for eight years working on the dams and starting his own business - Le Page Enterprises Ltd. Upon leaving Gillam in 1982, he worked at Cullaton Lake, NT and moved back to Winnipeg. For the last 15 years, he was employed by the City of Winnipeg as a project officer and restarted Le Page Enterprises as a sideline and hobby doing commercial and residential cabinetry. Al was a workaholic and perfectionist, a jack-of-all trades and master of many. He was a very moral person whose word and handshake meant a great deal to him. He was a redneck who broke all rules to accomplish his goals. Al took great pride in belonging to the Shriners Motor Patrol and the E.S.P. Lions Club. His motorcycling buddies were a big part of his life as were his football buddies. Through life he made cherished friends too numerous to mention and was the glue that held so many of them together. He was always there for everybody with a helping hand and generous heart. He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed. He lived a full life and did it his way. Goodbye my friend! Our sincere thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at St. Boniface Hospital and Health Sciences Centre. If friends so wish, donations may be made to the St. Boniface Research Foundation. Funeral service will take place in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., on Thursday, August 1 at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
