LESLIE (LES) EDGAR WAY August 17, 1918 - July 29, 2002 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Leslie (Les) Way on July 29, 2002 at the Riverview Health Centre. Les leaves to mourn his wife of 51 years, Ellen; his six children, Gayle (Jim) Marcheen, Murray (Donna) of Edmonton, Marjorie, Norman (Leslie), Bob (Tammy), Gary (Sonyia) of Prince George. Les also leaves nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Harvey (Dorothy) of Winnipeg, Russell (Bernice) of Saskatoon; one sister Bernice McKenzie of Killarney; special nephew Larry (Gloria) of Ninette; sisters-in-law, Pauline Palmer of Waskada, Elsie (Murray) Green of Napinka; brother-in-law Bill (Dorothy) Palmer of Souris; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Clara and Garnet Way; brother Roy (Margaret) of Ninette; brothers-in-law, John Palmer and Alex McKenzie. Dad was born in Homefield, MB on August 17, 1918. He was raised around the Homefield, Killarney and Ninette areas. In 1954 Les and family moved to Brandon. Les was involved in the automotive industry all his life and was employed by Wilton Mercury Sales of Brandon for 26 years. Dads life revolved around his family. In 1998, Dad and Mum moved to Winnipeg to be closer to their family. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Less life will be held on Thursday, August 1 at 7:00 p.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff of the Riverview Palliative Care Unit on 3 East. Special thanks to nurses, Helen and Chase.
