ALICE KOOTING (nee HUGGINS) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mom and gramma on July 28, 2002 peacefully at the Seven Oaks Hospital with her family by her side. Alice was predeceased by her loving husband Frederick; loving parents, William and Nellie Huggins; brothers Andrew and William Huggins; sisters, Lillian Richet and Eillen Buckler. Alice leaves to mourn her passing her loving son Richard; daughter-in-law Jackie; and grandchildren, Kay-Lee and Keri-Lynn; sisters, Mildred Connolly, Roseline Campbell and brother Arthur Huggins; and several nieces and nephews. She spent some of her youth residing in Red Lake, ON prior to moving back to Winnipeg where she resided most of her life. Alice attended Dufferin School, Britanica School and St. James Collegiate. Alice was an extremely caring and compassionate mother and grandmother, her love and kindness to her family and others was felt by all those who knew her. Alice was extremely unselfish giving her wisdom and caring to all that needed. Her love shall always be remembered by friends and family. Alice has surely touched several throughout the years and will be sadly missed by all. God Bless you Mom, May you rest in peace, amen. The family wishes to extend thanks to Dr. K. Saunders for unsurpassed professionalism and compassion given to Alice over a long period of time. The family wishes to extend thanks to staff at Seven Oaks 5th floor for the manner for which she was cared for. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9A9. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 3rd at 1:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Interment will follow at a later date. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
