FRANKLIN On Friday, July 26, 2002, after a short illness, Tordes Franklin passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 89 years. Tordes was born December 4, 1912 and lived in Winnipeg all her life. Her husband Dick Franklin passed away in 1988. Tordes leaves to mourn, her sisters, Arna Wise of Winnipeg and Birda Dawson of British Columbia. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Throughout her lifetime Tordes enjoyed sewing and knitting and was an avid bowler. A private graveside service was held. LEATHERDALE GARDINER 232 Kennedy Street 949-4878

Many memories of times when Tordie would come for a visit at our home on Dudley Ave in Winnipeg. I as a 10 year old always enjoyed her red nail polish and red lipstick. She always came alone and Dad would bring her home in St Boniface. When I was in my early teens. I went to clean a ladies apartments and would stop over for a short visit, that’s when I met Dick.
