MARGRET ROSE GISLASON It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Margret on July 30, 2002, after a courageous year long battle with cancer at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Margret leaves to mourn her passing her husband Larus (Larry) three daughters, Donna (Kevin) McKillop and their children, Christopher and Sharron; Janice Janzen and her daughters, Marie and Jennifer and friend Bill Prendergast; and Diane Georgeson; her brothers, David Whittington and family and Tom Whittington; sister Joyce Wood and son Paul; brother Cliff Wood and family; as well as Margrets aunt Rose Alfonso. Margret worked for the Knox Day Care for many years and made many friends there. We would like to thank them for their kindness during Margrets illness. Our sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the fifth floor of the Seven Oaks Hospital that gave Margret such wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception will follow.
