Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEANNE LA ROCQUE (nee ROY) With the love and comfort of her family around her, Jeanne La Rocque, aged 62, passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on July 29, 2002 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She will be remembered and sadly missed by her husband Louis of 42 years; her daughter Jacqueline; son Paul, his wife Daphne; and grandchildren, Madison and Daniel. Left to mourn is her mother Therese (nee Plourde) Roy; sisters, Aline (Paul) Mousseau, Lorraine Toews, Denise (Andy) Gavine; and brother Robert (Jenny) Roy. Also left to mourn are in-laws, Dick (Jeannine), Stoney (Joyce), Denise La Rocque (nee Paul) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her father Raymond in 1976 and brother Philippe in 1982. Born and raised in St. Boniface, Jeanne and Louis were married in 1960 and raised a family in Lorette for 18 years before moving to Windsor Park in 1983. Jeanne was a loving wife, caring mother who always put the thoughts and wishes of others before her own. Jeannes greatest loves were to go camping with Louis and her children as well spending time with her grandchildren. Jeanne, a bookkeeper for some 40 years, recently retired from Londeros Wrecking. Jeanne and her family were deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support expressed by family and friends during her short-lived battle with cancer. Thanks go out to the wonderful staff at the St. Boniface Hospital and CancerCare Clinic, especially the incredible nurses on 3B for their compassion, support and special care. Following cremation, a funeral service will be held at St. Timothys Parish, 135 John Forsyth at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1. Flowers are gratefully declined.
