NICHOLAS (NICK) PLISZKA A lifetime resident of Portage la Prairie, Nicholas (Nick) Pliszka, beloved husband of Vivian, passed away in the Portage General Hospital, Wednesday, July 31, 2002. He was in his 83rd year. Funeral service will be held in the First Presbyterian Church on Saturday, August 3 at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Jean Bryden officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot in Hillside Cemetery. Predeceased by his parents, William and Annie Pliszka; brother Anthony; and sister Mary. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Vivian whom he married August 2, 1947; children, William (Joanita) and grandchildren, Todd and Christopher of Portage la Prairie, John (Susan) and grandchildren, Meghan and Kyle of Vernon, BC, Marie (Ken) Adamson and grandchildren, Scott and Jaclyn of Winnipeg; one sister Tina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
