Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFLORA SPENCE Peacefully on July 30, 2002, at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Flora Spence, aged 70 years, of Vogar, MB. Flora was born November 19, 1931, and resided in Vogar most of her life until she became ill. Flora was a kind-hearted person who enjoyed to laugh and joke. She was well known in the community for her baking. She enjoyed picking berries and was also involved in Bingo, either working there or playing. Flora enjoyed life and spending time with her family. She worked at Eggertsons Store for 20 years, then later worked at Johnsons Store in Vogar. She also worked for different farmers in her earlier years, either babysitting or housecleaning. She leaves to mourn her daughter Brenda Spence; two grandsons, Owen and Dillon; sister Mary Swan of Lake Manitoba Reserve; sister Gladys Pelletier of Winnipeg; also numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Maryanne on February 23, 1996; her uncle James Spence in 1944; her grandfather Andrew Spence on July 10, 1955; and her grandmother Isabelle Spence in 1965; nephews, Raymond Swan Jr., and Robert Swan in 1988. A wake service will be held on Thursday, August 1 at her residence in Vogar, MB, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 2 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church on Lake Manitoba Reserve, with Fr. Mario officiating. Interment to follow in the Vogar Anglican Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Quentin, Lloyd, Darcy and Cary Pelletier, Melvin, Brabant and Dana Swan. Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Swan, Daniel Ross, Derek Monkman, Steve Monkman, Richard Maytwayashing and Owen Spence. May she rest in peace. Arrangements by: Arnason Funeral Homes Ltd.
