Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLARENCE CAMPBELL IRWIN Clarence Campbell Irwin, dearly beloved husband of Margaret Jean, passed away peacefully Monday, July 29, 2002, at Seven Oaks Hospital, at the age of 92. Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Henrietta; sisters, Grace MacTavish, Doris Kaatz; and brother Robert. He leaves one sister Frances Kingdon and sister-in-law Jean L. Irwin. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 63 years Jean; his three daughters, Geraldine Irwin-Kilfoyle (William), Patricia Wachs, Jacqueline Sarna (Randall) grandchildren, Lawrence Wachs (Marni), Suzanne Wachs (Shaun Kay), Caitlin Sarna, Carlyn Sarna; great-granddaughter Lauren Wachs; and numerous nieces and nephews. Clarence was born on October 17, 1909, in Newdale, MB, attended Success Business College in Winnipeg, and The School of Diesel Engineering, Chicago, IL. He was schooled in music, took RCT exams in violin, and played the banjo in The First Arizona Banjo Band. Clarence and Jean began their married life in Gurney Gold, MB, moved to Winnipeg where he worked for the CNR, and later Air Canada, from where he retired in 1974. He belonged to the United Church, was a past master of Fidelity Masonic Lodge, and received his Fifty Year Jewel. Clarence enjoyed photography, wood and metalworking, fishing and hunting with his best pals, Forbes Thompson and Roy Slater, winters in Arizona, and extensive travelling. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Jamie Boyd and the staff of the fifth floor of Seven Oaks Hospital. Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
