Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAMANDA KLAPPRAT (nee REDER) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Amanda Klapprat at the Beausejour Hospital on Thursday, August 1, 2002. Amanda leaves to mourn her daughter Norma Taylor of Edmonton, AB, son Raymond (Armande) of Chilliwack, BC, son Andrew (Alexandra) of Winnipeg and daughter Marilyn of Beausejour as well as a brother Paul (Ruth) Reder, sister Irene Drewlo and nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Amanda was predeceased by her loving husband Reinhold in 1990 and her son Albert in 1994. She was also predeceased by her parents, Emil and Paulina Reder; brother Otto Reder and a sister Christine Poschner. Amanda was born in Winnipeg on September 26, 1914 and shortly after that the family moved to Moosehorn, MB, where she attended grade school. She later moved to Beausejour where she met her beloved husband of 54 years Reinhold. They were married on July 20, 1935 at the Zion Lutheran Church. They began their family life at the farm before moving to Beausejour in 1956. Amanda worked for the Beausejour Hospital, the sewing factory and the Gateway Restaurant for 14 years. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 5 at 2:00 p.m. from the Zion Lutheran Church, Beausejour, with Pastor Dale Berg officiating. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the church one hour prior to services. The family would like to thank the Home Care workers of Stony Plains, Dr. Corder and the staff of the Beausejour Hospital for the care and compassion shown to our mother over the many years. If friends so desire memorial donations in Amandas memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to the Beausejour Hospital.
