MAGNUS (MIKE) CARLYLE GOODMAN September 21, 1921 - July 31, 2002 After a lengthy illness, we are sorry to announce the passing of Magnus Goodman on Thursday, August 1, 2002 at the Eriksdale (C. E. Crowe Memorial) Hospital. Mike was a very conscientious farmer who lived on the same farm, one mile south of Lundar, for 78 years of his life. He was a very successful farmer who took great pride in his work. Ill health forced him to retire from farming two years ago. Mike is survived by his sister Thelma Sigfusson; uncle Paul and aunt Vlasta; Lise Sigurdson; nieces and nephews, Douglas Goodman, Dorothy Cook (Ralph), John Goodman (Marlene), Skuli Sigfusson (Heida), Darlene Timmis, Linda Gawryluk (Ray) and Lois Carpenter; 10 great-nephews; and three great-nieces. Mike was predeceased by his mother Sigridur and stepfather Margrave Halldorson; brother Norman and sister-in-law Gunna Goodman; uncle Sam Sigurdson; uncle Kjartan Sigurdson; aunt Margaret Davidson; aunt Olof Brandson; brother-in-law Svein Sigfusson; and nephew Charles Sigfusson. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 6 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lundar Lutheran Church, officiated by Pastor Terry Throndson. Interment at the Lundar Cemetery will follow.
