SAM BABUIK It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of our dad Sam, aged 78. Sam will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sons, Richard and Barry. Grandchildren, Kirsten and Whitney (Dagmar) grandchildren, Emma and Ben (Donna). Brothers, Mike, Nick; sister Emily; and numerous families and friends also survive Sam. Sam was very generous to his boys helping them out when it was needed most. He was always ready to lend a hand to help finish with renovation jobs, fence building, tree trimming and seabuck planting. And boy, what he could do with tape and a putty knife! Sam worked for 30 years with City of Winnipeg Transit. He enjoyed taking road trips to Norquay, Regina and Sudbury visiting with family. Sam also enjoyed spending time out at Gull Lake, playing poker at family gatherings, golfing and cards at the bus station. All who knew Sam, knew he had a special enjoyment of great food, good wine all in the company of family and friends. Sam has joined his beloved wife Elsie, who passed away June 27, 1988. They will be watching us from heaven. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 7 at 3:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Seven Oaks Hospital, your professionalism and kindness was genuine and very deeply appreciated. God bless you all for taking on such a noble profession and doing it so well. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. You left us too sudden. We will all miss your big laugh! CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
