OLGA HELEN BORSA (nee DZAMAN) November 27, 1928 - August 2, 2002 Peacefully on August 2, 2002 at the Lakeshore General Hospital Olga Helen Borsa, aged 73 years, of St. Martin, MB passed away. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Pat, Ron, Jo-Ann (Fred), Joyce (Rob) and Sherry (Alex) daughter-in-law Delores; grandchildren, Glenn, Curt (Tammy), Lee, Mike (Syd), Kim, Jamie, Lori, Derek (Ling), Jon, Chris (special friend Ashley), Jennifer, Jonathan and Salina; two great-grandchildren, Parker and Abby; special niece Connie (Darcy) brother Paul; sisters-in-law, Judy and Elsie; brother-in-law Jim; also numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her husband Bob, son Rick, son-in-law Bob, her parents, and several other family members. Mom was born in St. Martin where she resided until her death. She worked at various jobs in the community. On April 2, 1947 she and Dad were married and together they raised their six children. Through hard work and determination she kept the family together and the farm going when Dad was away working. Moms quiet, gentle manner, generous heart and warm smile will be missed by all those who knew her. She always put others before herself, as shown by her acts of caring, thoughtfulness and unselfishness. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary. There were always phone calls, gifts, cards and cakes. She put forward the extra effort for her grandchildren by her Sunday visits, babysitting, making cookies and special treats. Mom looked forward to special occasions because it meant all the family would be all together and she could prepare her huge meals. You never left to go home without a big thank you for coming, a jar of pickles or tomatoes, cabbage rolls or perogies because "maybe you will need this tomorrow". Mom enjoyed spending time in the yard with her flowers, garden and feeding the birds. She enjoyed sewing and knitting. She always welcomed her friends who dropped in for coffee to share an old recipe, to figure out the pattern for an afghan or to swap a few flower seeds. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date. Special thanks to doctors, nursing staff, home care personnel for taking care of Mom and to her many friends who visited her in the hospital and at home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 9Z9. Mom, through tears we saw you slip away but knowing that once again you would walk with Dad hand in hand. Arrangements by: Arnason Funeral Home Ltd. Ashern-Lundar 204-768-2072
