SUN FAT LAM Peacefully, on Wednesday, July 31, 2002, Sun Fat Lam, aged 81 years, passed away at the Riverview Health Centre with family by his side. Mr. Lam will be lovingly remembered by his wife Pui Yuk; daughter-in-law Angie (children Leonard, Allen and Mitchell) daughter Sanny (children Lisa and William) son Roy (wife Anita and children Ashley, Melissa and Cie Kay) daughter Betty (husband Peter Van Deveire and children Marcus and Katherine) brother Sun Ho of California. He was predeceased by his son Harvey in 1990. Mr. Lam was born March 22, 1925 in Canton, China. He married Pui Yuk Pang in 1947, and moved to Hong Kong in 1953. After immigrating to Canada in 1955, Mr. Lam owned and operated Good Earth Restaurant in Winnipeg for many years, before selling the restaurant. He continued working at other restaurants until he retired in 1985. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren as well as gardening and watching sports on television. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Riverview Health Centre 3E Palliative Care for their support and understanding. Viewing will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, August 5 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 6 at Bardal Funeral Home.
