Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAROLD FRED SMITH March 2, 1932 - August 1, 2002 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Smith on August 1, 2002. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Elsie of 47 years; son Glenn (Winna) and grandchildren, Alissa, Dana, and Vanessa, who loved their Papa dearly. Harold was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Olga Smith; sister Thelma; and brother Lawrence. He also leaves behind many relatives and friends. Harold had a long successful 46 year career in the car industry working at Dickson Motors, Town Pontiac, and McNaught Motors, retiring in March 1996. Harold enjoyed curling, golfing, and fishing until his health failed. Harold also loved taking his family to West Hawk Lake every summer on holidays and having friends down for boat rides. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, he will be remembered for being the terrific husband, dad, and grandpa that he was. Thanks to all the doctors and nurses at the St. Boniface Hospital for all the care on 5E, 5A, and the Palliative Care. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m.on Tuesday, August 6, at the Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota St. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 9A9. A cluster of beautiful memories Sprayed with a million tears, Wishing God had spared you But for a few more years. Thanks for the years you gave us, And for the happy times we shared We only pray that when you left us You knew how much we cared. Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same But as God calls us one by one Our chain will link again.
