Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAZEL ELIZABETH WILLIAMSON (nee CLARKE) August 15, 1919 - July 28, 2002 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, grandma, and great-grandma. At the age of 82, Hazel lead a very fruitful and productive life, but slipped peacefully away from us this past Sunday. She was born and raised in the town of Ninette, MB and is predeceased by her husband Les; parents Sarah and Arthur, and her two sisters, May and Inez. As a young woman, Hazel started working at the nearby Ninette Sanitorium as a laundress, and was later a patient there herself. It was during this time that she met and later married Les. They moved to Winnipeg where their four children were raised. Her children were one of the most important things in her life, but she also took time to enjoy fishing, curling at the Pembina Curling Club where she was a life member, and summers, first at the cabin at Falcon Lake and then at the family farm in Belmont, MB. She will be greatly missed and the void she leaves will be felt by all her friends and family. She was a very courageous and wonderful lady who will be remembered by her children, Howard (Flo), Arthur (Sharon), Gord (Lorraine), and daughter Jeannie; grandchildren, Kerrie, Lori (David), Cindy (Paul), Kelvin, Tara, and Jason; and great-grandchild, Matthew. Special heartfelt thanks to all the nurses and staff at The Golden Door Geriatric Centre, for all the wonderful care and comfort you have provided her over the past year and a half. It is very much appreciated. A graveside service will be held at Neelin Cemetery, 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2002. In lieu of flowers and cards, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements in care of Budz Funeral Service in Holland, MB.
