LOVINE DONNA KOBYLAK 1933 - 2002 After a lengthy illness, we are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved sister, companion, aunt and friend at Riverview Healthcare Centre on August 3, 2002. Lovine was born in East Kildonan and lived there throughout her life. Lovine was employed by Air Canada for 35 years, working various positions from teletype operator to secretary and cargo agent. Lovine had an inquisitive mind and thirst for knowledge which led her to take several university courses and fueled a lifelong interest in politics, history and world cultures. Lovines travels took her throughout much of the world, from safari in Kenya to still communist Moscow, from Egypt to Greece to Barbados. Her love of travel never ceased. She wintered in Florida with Bill and met many special friends there and across Canada. Lovines travels included a special trip to the Maritimes, and visits with Vivian and her family throughout western Canada. Lovine spent many summer days at the cottage in Lester Beach and leaves a lasting legacy there. Lovine had a fantastic wit, boundless energy, open heart, a freedom of spirit and lovable eccentricities. She will be mourned. Lovine was predeceased by her mother Pauline in 1993. She leaves, to be treasured in their hearts forever, her loving sister Vivian and brother-in-law Andrew Wangen of Winnipeg; her special companion Bill Kehrer of Winnipeg; adoring niece Alaine and Sean Brawley of Whistler; devoted nephews, Raymond Wangen of Calgary, Arvid Wangen of Vancouver, Leonard and Laura Wangen of Grand Prairie; David, Colleen and grandnephews, Cole and Nolan Wangen of Cochrane; Barry and Michelle Kobylak of Oakbank; and many friends. Pallbearers will be David, Leonard, Arvid and Raymond Wangen, Sean Brawley and Randy Kehrer. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, Arthritis Society or Feed the Children. Service will be held on Wednesday, August 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with Deacon Frank Conway officiating. Private interment will be held. You suffered much in silence, Your spirit did not bend, You faced your pain with courage, Until the very end. As in life we loved you, So in death we do the same. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
