JUNE MARGUERITE WOOD (nee JOYCE) July 17, 1931 - August 2, 2002 Suddenly our mother, sister, gramma, aunt, and friend was taken away from us in the morning hours of August 2, 2002, at the age of 71 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Wesley and Alice Joyce (nee Gibb) her husband Walter Mitchell Wood in 1992; daughter Brenda Schaab in 1989; and father-in-law Fred in 1972. June will be lovingly remembered by her children, Wayne and Brenda, Dawn and Gilbert (Ross), Randy and Patti and Arleigh Trakalo; son-in-law Larry Schaab; sister Sharon (Don) Ogg; brother-in-law Doug (Sadie) Wood; mother-in-law Jean Wood; stepmother Olive Joyce; grandchildren, Gil (Tammy), Jamie (Bob), Meghan, Chris, Dayna, Ryan, Tyler, Samantha, Lindsay, Curtis and Katyrina; and great-grandchildren, Ashley and Jordan; and many nieces and nephews. June gained many long and lasting friendships through her many years of employment with Eatons and Fresh Water Fish Plant. During Junes retirement, she spent many enjoyable hours at her trailer at Lee-side Co-op, was a member of the UCW at Transcona United Church and enjoyed many activities with numerous close friends and social clubs. Junes most memorable hours were spent with her children and grandchildren. A celebration of Junes life will be held on Friday, August 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Ave. W. A private family urn placement was held in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. GREEN ACRES FUNERAL CHAPEL 222-3241
