ALVIN AL LOUIS REGIER

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALVIN AL LOUIS REGIER 1925 - 2002 With the love and comfort of his family around him, Al Regier, aged 76 years, beloved husband and best friend of Hilda Regier, peacefully passed away at the Ste. Anne Hospital on Sunday, August 4, 2002. He will forever be in the hearts of his four children, Gerry Regier and wife Joyce, Edith Regier, Linda Burgess and husband Bill, Dorothy Pugh and husband Chris. He will also be fondly remembered by his five grandsons, Jared (wife Karen) and Keith Burgess, Gabriel and Eduardo Regier, and Devin Pugh. He also leaves his brother George Regier and wife Sarah and sister Carin Regier. Al was predeceased by his parents, Abram and Vera Regier; and sister Katy Wiebe. Al was born in Arnaud, MB on November 7, 1925. He spent a happy childhood in this farming community in southern Manitoba and completed his schooling at MCI in Gretna. He met his wife Hilda when she was teaching at the local two-room school in town and he was farming with his dad. They married in 1950 in Altona and moved to Winnipeg in 1952. Al and Hilda raised their four children in St. Vital while he worked for Swift Canadian Feed Division as Superintendent for 30 years. He continued his career at Park City Products for 10 years until his full retirement in 1992. Al and Hilda moved to Paradise Village near Ste. Anne, MB in July of 1996 where they continued to enjoy their winters south as snowbirds and build new friendships within the village. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 9 at 11:00 a.m. in The First Mennonite Church, 922 Notre Dame Ave., where Al and Hilda have been members since 1967. A private urn placement will be held in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Als family would like to thank the staff at the Ste. Anne Hospital for the excellent care and compassion received during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ste. Anne Hospital Fund Palliative Care Unit, 52 St. Gerard St., Ste.
