Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS J. LESPERANCE Sadly on August 6, 2002 with me, my mom Louella, Aunty Lynne, Uncle Kenny, Grandpa Lesperance and cousins, Deanna and Bill by his side, my Daddy, Thomas Jerry Lesperance Uncle Tom was led to heaven by the hands of God and his mommy after a brief struggle with cancer. Tom was born in Winnipeg February 27, 1951, the eldest child of Thomas Lesperance Sr. and Marie Anne Martin (nee Thibert). Tom was predeceased by his mother in 1980. Left to mourn Toms passing are his nine year old Fallon Marie whom he loved and adored with all his heart; his father Thomas Sr.; his brothers, Ken of Winnipeg and Bob of British Columbia; his sister Lynne Carlson (Ken) of Winnipeg; his niece Deanna Hunnie of Winnipeg; his nephews, Bill Hunnie and Lee Carlson of Winnipeg, Ryan and Cory Lesperance of British Columbia; and Fallons mother Louella Piche (Maurice). Tom attended high school at Windsor Park Collegiate. After high school he worked a variety of jobs until he settled at Labatts Brewery for 21 years. Tom then tried his hand at his own business until he became ill. Tom had a deep appreciation for music and was a huge fan of the Rolling Stones. He loved going to Beauty Bay Resort with Fallon where he taught her how to fish, swim, boating, love nature and to be a loving little human being. Tom was an exceptionally loving and caring father. Tom cherished the friends in his life and would often speak of current and friends of long ago in the stories he told. If you were his friend he never forgot you. Tom and his family would like to thank all the friends that called to express their love as well as the doctors, nurses and all those that helped with his care at the Victoria and Riverview E3 Hospitals and to those that did not know him but comforted his little girl with their loving words and understanding in her time of need. Tom would also like to thank his longtime friend Mary-Lou McGurran for her unwavering love, strength and support during the hardest time of his life and to his sister Lynne for her special gift that gave him comfort and piece of mind and to Louella Piche for just being there. Funeral service will take place on Friday, August 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy 1 East at Navin Road, with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment to follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Roddy McDowell, Chris Schimnowski, Bob Sroese, Rory Bookbinder, Bill Hunnie and Deanna Hunnie.
