NETTIE (MYCHALINA) YUZWAK Peacefully, on August 5, 2002, at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 83 years. Nettie was predeceased by her husband John; four sisters, Anne, Tilley, Rose and Sophie; and one brother Mike. She is survived by her two sons, Edward and Allen; grandson Grant; daughter-in-law Mary; and great-grandson Kevin; along with many nieces and nephews. Nettie was born in Silver, MB on August 19, 1918. She came to Winnipeg in 1934. She was a great lover of song and music. Nettie was a loving wife and mother. She was always a positive, warm, kind hearted soul, with a wonderful sense of humour, who will be sadly missed by her remaining friends and family and the people and staff of Fred Douglas Lodge where she spent the last years of her life. For years, Nettie was a member of Saint Josephats Parish and the Ukrainian Senior Citizens Club. A visitation will be held Thursday August 8, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. A service of remembrance will be held Friday August 9 at 2:00 p.m also at the Chapel.
