MARTIN T. TAYLOR Peacefully, after a short illness, Martin passed away on August 5, 2002 at Neepawa Memorial Hospital. Martin was born in Morris, SK on June 5, 1918. He lived in Evansburg, AB. He worked as a logger, then joined the R.C.A.F. While stationed in Neepawa, MB, he met and married Florence (Molly) Clarke on June 20, 1942. Following the war, Martin and Molly settled in Neepawa and a daughter, Marilyn, was born on April 11, 1945. Molly predeceased Martin on November 8, 1981. Martin was a sober friend of Bill W. and many others in his beloved fellowship over 52 years. He was an avid golfer and delighted in helping others to enjoy the sport. He was happiest helping others, giving freely of his time. He worked in logging, construction, R.C.A.F., travelling sales, and retired from Texaco. Martin leaves to mourn him his daughter Marilyn (Lyn) nieces and nephews, Heather (Art) Mitchell, Kathy Robertson (Cam McLeod), Gordon (Leona) Robertson, Lauretta (Harvey) Wade, Muriel Donman, Irene (Bert) Bayrack, and John (Linda) Clarke; grandnieces and nephews, Rebecca, Kayla, Jacob, Chrissy (Terry) Hanstead, Nancy (Scott) Shippam; great-grandnieces and nephews, Kira and Ethan Hanstead. Martin will also be sadly missed by his special Neepawa family, Pat Montgomery, Kim, Trevor, Meagan and Mitchell Benson. The family wishes to express their gratitude to his care givers, Sharon McCreath and staff, Eastview Lodge staff, Neepawa Memorial Hospital doctors and nurses, the staff of We Care. Special thanks to Mary Ellen Clark and her staff (Mabel, Betty, Arlene and Ina) of Palliative Care for their kindness and thoughtfulness. Thank you to all his friends who took Martin on special outings. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Services, c/o Mary Ellen Clark, Neepawa Memorial Hospital, P.O. Box 1240, Neepawa, MB R0J 1H0. Thank you. Funeral service will be held at Whites Funeral Home, Neepawa on Saturday, August 10, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Paul Curtis officiating.
