ARTHUR GIBSON FOOT Peacefully on August 7, 2002 at the Victoria General Hospital, Gib passed away at the age of 86 years. He is survived by son Doug (Carole) of Whitby, ON, grandchildren, Janice and Michael; son Ken (Pat) of Winnipeg. He will also be fondly remembered by his nieces and extended family. Gib was predeceased by his beloved wife Edyth;, as well as his sisters, Margaret and Edith. Dad enjoyed summer family vacations in Minnesota and occasional winter getaways to warmer climates. After a lengthy, satisfying career at Manitoba Sugar, Gib enjoyed his retirement years golfing and curling. He was a longtime member of the Fort Rouge Curling Club as well as the Wildewood Club. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for the past 50 years. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Rd., where he was a longtime member. Cathy Kinsman will officiate. The family will lay Gibs ashes to rest in Garry Memorial Park prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation or the Parkinson Society of Manitoba.
